THE SCENE: 45º
WARM-O-RAMA:

The goal was to have a elevated sustained heart rate, which we achieved by almost zero transition time..  Gotta keep moving cause it be cooooooolllllldddd!!!!!

WARM UP SET 1

5 rounds of 10 SSH + 1 Burpee
25 High Knees
25 Side Lunges
15 Travoltas
20 Rainbow drops

WARM UP SET 2

14 seconds to get two hand size rocks.   This next set is the basis of the CMU² workout but when we get to it we’ll add distance, reps and more weight.

Indian run with (zombie run, baby arm circles, crab walk, bear crawl, and single burpees).  Indian run to the Mulch piles.

WARM UP SET 4

3 Sprints over mulch piles

3 Sprints across sand volley ball court

4 Bleacher rounds with alternating high knee and lunging.

THA-THANG: CMU²

Each him grab a CMU and run it around the cement hill and put the CMU down in what will be his stack of ten CMUs (in the end).  As they stack the CMU do the exercise of the round that you are on with the following rep count.

2 Burpees

American Hammers

Big Boys

16 Merkins

25 Curls

36 Push Press

49 Squats

64 Flutter Kicks (single count)

81 Bicycles (single count)

100 Mountain Climbers (single count)

All exercises were to be completed with a CMU in hands

The Burpee Machine

Welcome to my last dis-respectful Q!  Turning 50 tomorrow. 🙂

WARM-O-RAMA:

  • 50 SSH
  • 20 Cherry Pickers
  • 20 Lunges
  • 20 Side Lunges
  • 20 Imperial Walkers
  • 20 Bicycles
  • Welcome gentlement to THE BURPEE MACHINE:
    Breaking down the burpee into six exercises to be done at six different stations.
  • Plank
  • Merkin
  • Frog
  • Deep Squat
  • Squat Jumps
  • Side Straddle Hops

1 or 2 Him’s spread out per station.  Everyone starts doing the exercise of their station until they get bumped by the up and coming HIM.  The machine starts when the first Planker gets up and runs to the touch point (10,50, or 100 yards away) and back to the next station (Merkin). That person then commences Merkins and the dudes doing merkins get up and run to the touch point and return to the next station at which they “bump” the exerciser to the next station (Deep Squat). And so on until the last him is reached (Side straddle hops) and he gets bumped back to the beginning of the “Machine” at which point the cycle starts all over.

We did one round at 10 yards, and 20 yards and then ran to the Hill bowl behind the CMU pile where each him picked up a CMU and we lined up the machine stations at the top of the Hill and designated the cement 25 yards below as the touch point to go to and return from.  Except now we were carrying a CMU with us to each station.  We almost completed one round of this.

MARY:
In light of a big gut STUFFER coming the next day, we did all ab & core work.

25 Burpee Hill Races

THE SCENE: Post-rain wet goodness. ~55 degrees.

WARM-O-RAMA:
SSH, Cherry Pickers, High Knees, But-kickers, Split Merkins, Lunges
THA-THANG: 25 Burpee Hill Races

2 Hims race against each other doing 10 Burpees at top and bottom of adjacent staircases with a final 5 burpees at the top of a hill that is 100 Meters away.   The remaining HIM’s engage in other various torture techniques such as

  • Crab Walks 25 yards
  • Bear Crawls 25 yards
  • Matching Burpees that the racers are doing
  • Bernee 25 yards
  • Sprint 25 yards
  • Lunge 25 yards

When one group of two hims finish their race, the next group of two HIMs pulls a burpee variation ball from the basket of burpee variation balls and commences their race.  Once everyone has raced, then the whole group races against each other for one final round.

MARY:
Push the burpee bucket back to the AO by taking turns doing a crab walk push, bear crawl push, bernee cary, mosey, side straddle (both sides).  Finish up with a Jail break.

THE SCENE: Nice, rain washed parking lot. with clear weather.

WARM-O-RAMA:

Traveling warmup over to CMU pile.  Side straddles, bernies, lunges, zombee mosey,
THA-THANG: 4×6

Each HIM stacks 6 CMU’s 4 times.   The stack locations are:

  1. At base of hill bowl
  2. At top of hill bowl
  3. At base of hill bowl
  4. Back at CMU source pile

You can cary the cmu any way you want and as many as you want. But you should finish one stack before starting the next one.

When done with the 4×6 we did several of the new Super Burpees.

The super burpee is a 28 count burpee (with CMU) consisting of

Bear Country

WARM-O-RAMA:
Mosey to CMU pile doing side staddles (both sides), Kereoke (both sides), bear crawl both directions, crab walk both directions,  bernie.  Each HIM carries CMU to inner sanctum starting gate.

BEAR COUNTRY:

Loop around the JUCO inner sanctum (around air vents) doing 25 yards of each of the following clockwise.

  • Bear Crawl
  • Sprint
  • Crab Walk (forward)
  • Bear Crawl
  • Kerokee (face inside)
  • Bear Crawl
  • Side Straddle (face inside)
  • Bernie
  • Bear Crawl
  • Sprint

For each loop completed move A block (any block) forward one spot.  Team is done when all blocks have reached 3. (thus Jack-rabbits can progress more than 3 laps until team is done).  When team has progressed all blocks 3 spaces then go counter clockwise around loop doing same exercises backwards. Back wards Bear crawl, backwards crab walk, Bernie turns into sprint.  Side straddles and Kerokee still face inside.  As before progress the blocks but now decrement them spaces.  Team is done when all blocks are back to beginning.
