10 Strong (get to keep my beard): G6, Reverb, The Voice, Amazon, Rousey, Passport, Cowbell, Duggar, Swanson, Abort
CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
The Einstellung Effect: the negative aspect of having experience.  We all usually think having experience and even success somewhere is a good thing, and it is.  However, this effect describes the type of confirmation bias that arises from having success at something: you might not consider other options which might be even better or more beneficial.  Challenge to myself and other PAX to not only try to get better at things which they struggle with, but also occasionally take a look at things you do well, and consider that you might have another option.  My personal challenge is to try to find a way to love my family and friends in a better way. AYE!!
MOLESKIN:
Continue to pray for Passport and that hopefully he can avoid another back surgery, for G6’s son Rick who still has a fever following his operation, and for Swanson and his wife and family.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
This last week I was out of town for work for the first time since my daughter was born and left my wife to fend for herself with the two kids. It was nice getting a small break from the chaos of having two little ones, but I quickly found myself missing the whole crew. It was a good reminder to cherish the time we get with our loved ones. It’s easy to come home from work exhausted and neglect family time, but as High Impact Men, we need to make an effort to fully utilize this time to encourage and uplift our families.

MOLESKIN:
Shoutout to Bagger for pre-rucking solo. I fartsacked and paid the price with my shame. Bagger’s last workout before moving to Atlanta is this coming Monday. Let’s make sure to send him off right!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:

Short version – Don’t spend your life chasing the small, incremental moments of happiness. Find the joy in what you naturally do every day in life.

“Happiness is an emotional response to an outcome. If I win, I will be happy, if I don’t I won’t. It’s an if-then, cause and effect, quid pro quo standard that we cannot sustain because we immediately raise it every time we attain it. See, happiness demands a certain outcome, it is result reliant and I say if happiness is what you’re after then you’re gonna be let down frequently and you’re gonna be unhappy much of your time. Joy though… Joy is a different thing, its something else. Joy is not a choice, it’s not a response to some result. It’s a constant. Joy is the feeling that we have from doing what we are fashioned to do no matter the outcome. See, joy is always in process it’s under construction. It is in constant approach alive and well in the doing of what we’re fashioned to do and enjoying. The easiest way to dissect success is through gratitude. Give thanks for that which we do have, for what is working. Appreciating the simple things we sometimes take for granted. We give thanks for these things and that gratitude reciprocates. Creating more to be thankful for. It’s really simple, and it works. I’m not saying be in denial of your failures. No, we can learn from them too. But only if we look at them constructively as a means to reveal what we are good at. What we can get better at, what we do succeed at. We don’t always do our best, and since we are the architects of our own lives, let’s study the habits, the practices, the routines that we have that lead to and feed our success, our joy, our honest pain, our laughter, our earned tears. Lets dissect that and give thanks for those things. No matter what you choose, do not let it jeopardize your soul.”

1 John 4:18 – There is no fear in love.  But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.  The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Today will most likely be the final time I Q in F3 Knoxville.  This week, my wife and I will be moving to the Atlanta Metro area to start a new chapter in our lives.  As the verse says above, we do not fear this change and are looking forward to it because everything has worked out how it was meant to.  The process for us to get to this point our lives has been very frustrating and stressful at times.  However, if things hadn’t worked out the way they did, I would have never been exposed to F3 and had the opportunity to meet and get better with all of you over the last few months.  For that, I am extremely grateful and consider myself lucky to have had that opportunity.

MOLESKIN:

Bonus points to Judge Judy and Spotter for joining me on the preruck!  I encourage some new people to give the preruck a shot.
