CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Look at the story of Job and the loss that he encountered.  God allowed Satan to test Job to this extent, but he did not do the testing.  Through all the hardship, Job starts to question why he is going through all this.  God answers Job in the last few chapters of the book.  I was looking for Job chapter 38 this morning.  Read God’s response to Job.  Then Job responds in chapter 40 and again in 42:  42:2-3.  We may not understand why we encounter trials in life, but if we remain focused on God and His will, we will make it through!

BOM
Everything we did this morning is nothing complicated or fancy.  Each man could do what we did alone with no problem…the question is would you?  The second F, Fellowship, is what empowers the first F (Fitness).  Our strength is drawn from each other.  Seeking to be the leaders we want to be in our families and community is hard work.  Each day we have to get up and recommit.  Doing it alone is a recipe for failure, but together we can make a little progress each day.

Bottom line – Make sure you are locking shields with other men seeking the same goals you are seeking.  Don’t try and go it alone!  You aren’t meant to do it alone.  Growth is a team sport.

Proverbs 24
1 Judge impartially
To show partiality in judging is not good’ (v.23b). For those who judge justly, ‘rich blessing will come upon them’ (v.25).
2 Speak honestly
An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips’ (v.26). Sometimes it is hard to speak the truth in love, but we need to be honest with one another. The best answer you can give to any question asked is an honest one!
3 Stay loyal
Don’t talk about your neighbours behind their backs – no slander or gossip, please’ (v.28, MSG). Anyone can stay true to your face but it is the people who stay true behind your back that really count.
4 Show restraint
The temptation to pay back those who have done us harm is very great. However, the writer of Proverbs warns against taking revenge: ‘Do not say, “I’ll do to them as they have done to me; I’ll pay them back for what they did”’ (v.29).
5 Work hard
The book of Proverbs often warns against laziness. ‘A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest – and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man’ (vv.33–34).

Proverbs 15:31-32 “He whose ear listens to the life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise. He  who neglects discipline despises himself, but he who listens to reproof acquires understanding.”

Be willing to listen to those with more experience and take their criticism constructively.  If you ignore it, you basically are ignoring your own potential growth
