CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Spoke about the use of the term “remember” in Genesis. As a verb the Hebrew word “Zakar” means “to remember”, but as a noun it means “male”. We were made to bear the image of God and to remember Him, but the Old Testament gives a detailed record of Israel’s failure to do so. So just as we remember to set alarms and set out clothes, we should be men who remember God and who we were designed to be
MOLESKIN:
Pray for Drive Thru and his wife as they are trying to conceive and have just begun therapy, Midas for exam grades, and myself and my wife as we try to buy our first home.

THA-THANG:
Mosey out of start point to base of the big ball.  Lots of chalk on the ground, two rounds of exercises each with a separate cash in.  Perform cash in exercise before each listed exercise, perform listed exercise, then have the choice to run the big ball stairs up and down twice, or run to the amphitheater stage and back one.  One option is shorter but stairs, the other option is longer distance but flat.  Repeat cash in and move to next exercise in the list and take your choice again. Round One cash in exercise is 10 merkins, exercises as follows:

  • 25 Big boy sit ups
  • 25 Overhead claps on 4-ct
  • 25 Calf raises on stairs on 4-ct

Ab exercises until everyone finishes Round 1. Round 2 is very similar, except the finishing exercise you can run the stairs twice, run to the stage, or you can do 10 pull ups on the Big Ball.  Same format, cash in, perform exercise from the list, run or pull ups.  Cash in exercise is 10 big boy sit ups, exercises as follows:

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Today’s Q was all about choices.  You always have a choice, you may not think you do or you may not like the choices, but you always have them.  Sometimes people want to remove choices so they can blame circumstances, but that isn’t always the case.  Two quotes about choices:

“If you choose not to decide, still a choice has been made” – Rush
“Attitude is a choice.  Happiness is a choice.  Giving is a choice.  Respect is a choice.  Whatever choice you make, makes you.  Choose wisely.”

Go forth through the day and try to realize you have more control over more things than you want to believe.  Use that to better yourself and those around you by choosing to live with love and patience, kindness and virtue.
MOLESKIN:
Continue prayers for Passport and his back injury, hoping he can avoid surgery; prayers for the Fugate family who lost their son in an auto accident; prayers for our ROTC folks who shared the field with us this morning; prayers for our man SOOT as he prepares to deploy to Kuwait

THA-THANG:
Mosey out of start point toward Big Ball, pass it up and stop just short of crossing Cumberland Avenue. Everyone on their 6 for big boy sit up ring of fire.  Everyone holds iron cross position, going around the circle one man does 5 BBSUs and resumes iron cross, moving to next person in circle.  Recover, and cross over Cumberland Avenue and mosey over to church parking lot beside Henley Street Bridge.

PAX instructed to grab a big rock and pair up, and after doing so have to choose someone else (pair up with someone you don’t usually pick).  Partner A duck walks with rock to cone, sets rock down and sprints to the end of the parking lot and back to their rock, and duck walks back to their partner.  Partner B performs as many reps as possible of the following exercises (does AMRAP and switches to next exercise after taking turn running):

  • Curls
  • Toes to knees (deadlift)
  • Overhead over and back
  • Bent over row

Recover and 10 count.  Short mosey to the incline parking lot just below church lot.  Spread out for round the clock exercises.  Starting at the 12 o’clock position (head uphill with feet downhill), perform 10 hand release merkins and 15 squats, then plank waiting for everyone else to finish the hour.  Turn and do 10/15 at the 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 positions.  Then start at midnight and turn back time, going backwards and doing another round.

Recover and 10 count. Another short mosey to the nice steep hill for Super 11’s.  Start at bottom of hill, run to the top and do 11 flutter kicks on 4 count, return to the bottom for 11 American hammers on 4 count.  Run to the top for 10 flutters, back down for 10 hammers.  Continue through routine until we’re all exhausted.

Recover and mosey back to start point.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Took the Q on this day because it was one of my best friend’s birthdays, who unfortunately I haven’t spoken to since last year on his birthday.  I have no idea why, but we don’t speak any more.  I could blame pride and stubbornness for this, but whatever the reason may be, it is not a trait of a HIM.  I encouraged the PAX to think of a relationship that has either been damaged, or even just fallen to the wayside and reach out to that person and see if you can reconnect.
