THE THANG:
I was recently told about the Knees Over Toes guy so we incorporated a few of his suggested exercises.

Started at entrance and walked backward up the hill and then moseyed to CMU pile.

4 corners workout in the school parking lot.

Round 1
-split squats (10)
-v ups (15)
-toe merkins (20)
-heels touches aka awkward turtles (25)

Traversed to each corner by lining up head to toe in a plank position and slid CMU up to person in front. Run to front of line after you pushed all the CMUs and continued until we reached the corner. Rotated between left side push, right side push, and pull CMUs on each side.

Round 2
-heel elevated squats (10)
-dips (15)
-pickle pointers (20)
-curls (25)

Bernied between each corner during round 2

Round 3 was a mix of round 1 & 2.

Completed a few burpees for penance of broken CMUs, and then racked the remaining.

COT:
This was a very special day as we passed the shovel flag off to a new leader, Slappy! It is going to be extremely exciting to see what he does in the role and how Shamrock is going to thrive under his leadership.

We have all heard the quote, “Strong men create good time, good times creat weak men, weak men create bad times, bad times create strong men.” I head some commentary on this quote from Nick Freitas on this and says, “Bad times don’t create strong men, strong men are made by the influence of other strong men.” He goes on to talk about how strong men are there through good times and bad, but in the bad times, strong men are once again appreciated for what they contribute to society.
I instantly thought of F3 and the group of strong men that I have the privilege of working out beside every morning. All of you have made me a stronger man in all areas of my life and I am thankful for every one of you.

Don’t be afraid to pray for the things you desire. It may not come to fruition, but you should take it to prayer just as Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane. Matthew 26:36-46

The COT was short and sweet. A verse from the Beatitudes in Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (NIV) Or translated another way, Happy are people who are humble, because they will inherit the earth. (CEB)

All that to say, this is a behavior of Jesus, and modeling his role should be a goal for all of us.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
COT:
I have a couple of questions to consider for the word today. Is it necessary to go to church to be a Christian? Should we show up each time the doors are open for a service at the building? Questions like these are often asked probably with an excuse in mind or a judgemental thought towards someone else. I once heard in a sermon that this question about attending worship services is the “wrong question”. The question should instead be something like “why don’t you want to be there?” It is about our attitude and where our heart is when deciding whether or not to go. The Bible teaches that we should assemble together to encourage each other and stimulate one another to love and good deeds (Heb. 10:19-25). We should want to assemble because Jesus died for us. He broke down the barrier that separated us from God. Worship is commanded, but God doesn’t need our worship. We need to worship! Desire to be there!
