ANNOUNCEMENTS: Biohack is the new AOQ!!! BFF at Quanken Saturday, Dad Camp the next week, Forg3 in September.
COT:
The Q source provides us with Leadership Competencies (Vision, Articulation, Persuasion, and Exhortation) and Virtues (Candor, Commitment, Consistency, Contentment, and Courage), but ahead of these things, there is a fundamental reality – Trust. Without Trust, there can be no Team, and without a Team there is no Leader. While Trust-worthiness might be guessed at by evaluating the other leadership traits, there is only one way to truly get Trust – the Stress Test. Trust only truly develops when a man stands with you under stress and does not give way. Though I could speak on Biohack’s leadership traits, what gives me greatest confidence in his success is the Trust that I have in him, having stood with me in many gaps and proven himself reliable. So it is with no hesitation that I step aside to give him the lead of this fine and flourishing AO.

Bucket Challenge Relay
divide into two teams, that worked out to two teams of four. One man carried a 5 gallon bucket full of water from the lake to a 45 gallon trash can. Only one team member could carry at a time. While he was carrying, two members held a 5 gallon bucket full of water while the 4th member did waterlogged merkins. They ran a relay in this fashion until the trash can was full.

After the relay was won or lost, we got into the water and did a race to the buoys. And finally did some Big Boy situps and some carolina dry docks where you had to dunk your face underwater to perform the exercise.

We moseyed back to the volleyball pit for some old fashioned tug of war. This was with the team you rotated with, and no shoes and gloves in deep sand left no advantage, and was quite fun.

The Mary consisted of an ab exercise of 10 reps, followed by 10 merkins. We did about 5 rounds of this before going back to the lake and do an out and back race to the buoys and back. Time was called and we got into the COT.

The COT was about being vulnerable. Working out in the “nude” with no gloves, no shirt, and no shoes leaves you exposed. I issued a challenge to the men of F3 Knoxville to be vulnerable and share times of vulnerability with the group. Sharing these types of stories endear ourselves to one another, and my experiences could help others going through similar situations. I then shared about a dark time in my life where I lost two jobs in one year, but how in hindsight that was one of the best things to ever happen to me. We then closed in prayer and ate a great breakfast provided by the Dog Pound (Google, I-beam, & Smoky).

COT: Specific to relationships…Whatever it is that you feel inadequate in, be curious, be teachable, seek counsel and pro tips. Ask for guidance in the areas of your heart that you feel inadequate. You can learn pro tips to share emotions, deal with conflict in a healthy way, pray in a group – or whatever else you feel inadequate about doing when it comes to relationships.

Proverbs 14:15, “The simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps”.

Proverbs 12:15, The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,
But a wise man is he who listens to counsel”

Proverbs 19:20, “Listen to counsel and accept discipline,
That you may be wise the rest of your days.”

James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

COT:
Why does F3 love the color Black? because black is the color of discipline. Why? Because discipline takes place primarily in secret, invisible to all others. For example, the discipline to post is founded on a thousand small decisions made during the hours leading up to it, from your dinner, to your drinking, to your sleep, to your alarm clock. By the time you make it to the parking lot, 80% of the work is already done.
