CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
When trying to get people to F3, I hear “I could never do that” all the time. It’s too early, or it’s too intense, or they don’t think they can physically do it. Whether they mean to be negative or not, they are. They’re putting themselves down and putting limitations on themselves. We as humans have the ability to do literally anything. If we believed, had faith, and focused on the positive, we could do it. Yesterday at the end of the West Hills workout, Woodshack told us to do one last thing. Proton (he said it, we were all thinking it) said that he did’nt think it was possible for us to do. Woodshack’s response was to look him in the eyes and say “Get your mind right.” It reminded me of when Peter tried to walk on water. In Matthew 14:29-31 Jesus said “Come. So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus; but when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, ‘Lord, save me.’ Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, ‘O you of little faith, why did you doubt?'” We need to take a leap. We need to have faith. We need to trust in Jesus, but also in ourselves. Peter trusted that Jesus would save him as he was drowning, but he did not believe in himself, that he could get to Jesus. He focused on his limitations. Jesus already believes in us, he is waiting for us to believe in ourselves. He is there to pull us up if we begin to drown, but if we truly have faith, if we truly get our minds right, we’ll never realize that drowning is even an option.

Proverbs 17:28

Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.

We all need to think before we speak.

As Hammy put it: Better to be silent and let them think you a fool than to open your mouth and confirm it.

    Starting F3 I was the stereotypical Sad Clown, I had hit a rut in life and was in desperate need of a way out. I had been asked to come to an Knoxville AO but I used the excuse that it was to far and to early. Once I was told the AO in Alcoa was opening up I really had no excuse anymore so I figured I should try. I was very worried about where I was physically and not being able to keep up or accepted into the group. While I was right about not being able to keep up completely this great group of guys that formed here never left me behind and always pushed me to do the best I could do. I can’t imagine doing this with any better of a group of guys. I appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to continue getting better together.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Fear. We all know it. But when we think of the way that early Christians were persecuted and gruesomely martyred because they were spreading the Gospel, how do our fears compare? In this day and age, many people are scared to share the Gospel because they’re afraid of what someone might think of them or that they might “unfriend” them. Why do we give in to these fears when we know how the early Christians were persecuted?

This does not only apply to spreading the Gospel, we all have fear in every day life. Fear holds us back. Some people want to start businesses, but they don’t because they’re afraid the business will fail. Even many people who do start businesses fail, and they think that their fears were justified because of that failure. They don’t realize that it’s the other way around, they failed because they focused on their fear. Some fears are rational while some are irrational. For those rational fears, we must be courageous and overcome them. For those irrational fears, we need to think logically and get rid of them. Everybody’s fears are different, but nobody should let fear hold them back in life.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
There are 2 different mindsets, fixed and growth. Someone with a fixed mindset for example would fail a test and say “I’m stupid” or “I’m not good enough” or something of that nature because it’s very very easy to make excuses for failure.  A person with a growth mindset for example would fail a test and ask their self what they have to do to make sure it does not happen again or why they failed the test.  A growth mindset is almost mandatory to succeed.
