Mosey to JUCOmanjaro. We used the white marks as stopping points for exercises. The following exercises were performed at the stops, one per stop. Repeat list to the top.

  • 5 Prison cell merkins burpees (see exicon) (1st stop)
  • 20 Merkins (2nd stop)
  • 20 squats (3rd stop)
  • 20 flutter kicks (4th stop)
  • Repeat once and then mosey to the top

At the top, do another round of the exercises until the 6 gets in. Mosey back down stopping at various places on the way down. We did 10 burpees and 20 diamond merkins. On to the shovel flag.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
I would venture to guess that most of the PAX attend worship services at a local church on at least a semi-regular basis. How many of that same group study the Bible daily on their own? How many serve others regularly? How many teach others the Word of God?

My M and I have had discussions in the past about the danger of outsourcing our faith. Do we rely on the leadership of the church to perform all the work? Do we rely on them to do all of the Bible studying? What about serving those in need? Unfortunately, YHC fully admits to this happening a lot in our house. I don’t spend time in the Word as I should and I don’t serve God the way I should around the community.

This is something that I am working on. If you have the same struggle, I encourage you to work on it and reach out for help. Help those around you to be accountable as well.
MOLESKIN:
Had to audible the workout. When we finished the 4×4’s, we were supposed to repeat the four corners with Prison Cell Merkin Burpees, but YHC quickly realized that we would not even close to have the time for them. My gift to all of the JUCO PAX today.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
In Paul’s letter to the Christians at Colossae (and by extension us), he speaks to the incomparable Christ. Christ rescued them from darkness, He is the head of the Body (the Church), and He gave the ultimate sacrifice. Take a look at this passage.

“And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.” Colossians 1:21‭-‬23 NASB

Despite our evil deeds, Christ died that we may be reconciled. However, we shouldn’t miss the qualifying statement. If we continue in faith, we are able to stay reconciled to God through His sacrifice.

MOLESKIN:
Continued prayers for all suffering from COVID-19 related hardships.

THA-THANG:

Mosey to the peace bell and do Aiken Legs. 20 Squats, 20 Box Jumps, 20 Lunges (10 each leg), 20 Split Jacks (10 each leg forward). Then, do Mucho Chesto. 10 Merkins, 10 diamond merkins, 10 wide Merkins, 10 staggered right Merkins, 10 staggered left Merkins. Repeat both sets.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
“So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. ” Romans 8:12‭-‬17 NASB

It is difficult with all of our day-to-day responsibility, but we need to maintain our focus on living by the Spirit. You may have heard the phrase “live in this world and not of this world”. This means to live in the world but always have our focus on attaining a heavenly, permanent residence if we live by the Spirit.

MOLESKIN:
Kudos to Snaggletooth for bonus burpees during Catch-me-if-you-can. Maybe next time he will listen more closely to the instructions.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long ; W e were considered as sheep to be slaughtered .” But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ”

Romans 8:31‭-‬39 NASB

It can be a great encouragement to know the magnitude of God’s love for us. Try to remind yourself daily of this.

3 PAX today at the Project.
CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
1 John 1:5‭-‬10 NASB
YHC sometimes has doubts about my saved state. It is sometimes difficult to know for sure that we are capable of obtaining a home in Heaven. I think this passage helps with that. If we are walking in the light, following Jesus in all we do, His blood cleanses us. When we slip up, we need to go to God for forgiveness. If we think we don’t sin, we are liars. Walking in the light is about constantly striving to do what is right. It is not about being perfect because we are indeed incapable of such a feat. Instead, Jesus’ blood cleanses us as we walk so that we can be found worthy. We can have assurance of our salvation. Trust in God because He has made a way for us.
