“God must do everything for us. Our part is to yield and trust.”

“O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need for further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, the Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, so that I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, ‘Rise up my love, my fair one, and come away.’ Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wandered so long.” – A.W. Tozer

COT:
Johann Sebastian Bach is said to have walked about 250 miles (400 km) from Arnstadt to Lübeck in 1705 to meet and learn from the famous organist and composer Dieterich Buxtehude.

How often are we willing to put in the work spiritually, professionally, or personally? Bach was a prodigy and was willing to do it. Part of today’s workout was to come out and sweat. The guys that completed the real Bataan Death March were surviving…so today wasn’t about time or racing but about finishing…and a lot of guys did.

Great work today men!

Regret.
The feeling associated with doing wrong or missing an opportunity. Sometimes causing the.need for repentance.

II Corinthians 7:9-10 NKJV
[9] Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. [10] For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

Ask for forgiveness when you’rewrong. Apologize. Don’t live with regret. Forgive others. Don’t miss opportunities. Put Christ firat, and let him be your guide.

COT: “The proud person always wants to do the great thing. But because he wants to do it in his own strength, he is fighting not with man, but with God.” Kierkegaard

Pride and Self-Reliance leads to disaster, not trusting God. The irony is when we accept absolute dependence on God, then we find the strength.

Shame and Fear keep us paralyzed or stagnant doing nothing, but they stem from the same lack of trust and dependence on God.

Self-will leads to failure.
Shame keeps us stuck.
But reliance on the Holy Spirit transforms us into who we were meant to be.
When we walk in the Spirit, God enables us to go higher, endure more, and accomplish what we never could in our own strength. This is exactly how Jesus lived, how much more do we need to?
