7s on the Hill:

PAX ventured over to a long dark neighborhood hill for a round of 7s with Burpees and Body Weight Squats.

We took the long way back to the AO to venture over to the troll bridge. The rain forced the Troll to flee from the rising creek, but in his hurry to leave he forgot to his favorite bag. Through personal communication with the troll, PAX were granted permission to pass through the bridge if we followed the workout in his bag.

PAX were numbered 1-6. When it was the PAX turn, he had to run down to the troll bridge from the AO and retrieve the exercise.  Upon return, the next number would complete the number of reps for the specified exercise, before venturing down to retrieve the next exercise. Remaining PAX would complete as many reps as possible before starting the next exercise.

COVID has been a frustrating season for all of us. F3 is not only a community for fitness, but also a community to push ourselves to be better men and make a difference in our communities. A verse on my heart recently is Ephesians 4:31-32:

‘Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted and forgiving each other, just as God in Christ has also forgiven you’

MOLESKIN:

Benjamin Disraeli and William Gladstone were two prominent British politicians in the 1800’s, but bitter rivals. A journalist had dinner with both and commented how Disraeli ‘made her feel like the most brilliant woman in all of London’. Disraeli was an effective leader because he possess charisma and could bring out the best in people

‘The greatest good you can do for another is not to just share you riches, but to reveal to him his own’

“The lens through which you view the world will become your reality”

Every day we are bombarded with negativity and malice. This can warp our perception of the world and cause us to embrace a mindset detrimental to success and our goals. As leaders, we have the power and responsibility to improve the lives of those around us. This quote challenges us to embrace a lens that views our families, coworkers, friends, and situations in a positive light. Let’s make the day count.
