  • Mosey to Church Street United Methodist Church
  • Pax perform various an exercises while Q sets up Kraken.
  • Kraken on the rocks. 8 stations in circle: 1. Squats with rock x25. 2. Merkins on your rock x 25. 3. Rock Curls x 50. 4. Mr Spectacular x 25 with rock. 5. Rock lunge x 50.  6. Rock burpees x 25. 7. Rock overhead press x 40.  8. Lizard merkin crawl to center circle and back. Complete station. Run with your rock around circle and start next exercise until all exercises completed.
  • Mosey back to AO.

  •  Mosey to the playground for some CMU work.  25 curls, overhead presses, BBS, Tricep extensions, bench press, rows.
  • Mosey towards the Big Ball.  3 laps around the pond with 4 stations of exercises.  5 burpees under the bridge, 10 big ball pull ups, 15 merkins on the bridge, 20 squats under the amphitheater.
  • Mosey to Candy Factory for Dora’s:  50 BBS, 100 merkins, 150  flutter kicks (4ct), 200 squats.  While partner performs exercises, the other Pax is running up the hill towards the art museum ( Bernie Sanders  the first half and sprint the second)
  • Mosey back to AO for Aiken Legs:  20 squats, 20 box jumps, 20 lunges (10 each leg), 20 split jacks (10 each leg).

  • Mosey to the Big Ball for Morning Call:  Pax line up in plank position.  First person does 5 Big Ball pull-ups, rest of the Pax in plank position, as first person calls out his pull ups, Pax performs 5 merkins, switch and repeat until everyone has completed pull-ups.
  • Mosey to the parking lot by the Crew House.  Lunge:Burpee the bridges, 4:1 first bridge, 4:2 second.
  • Modified Ring of Fire:  Grab a rock and circle up.  Exercise curls.  1st PAX calls out ? Number of curls then says go.  Group drops and does 1 burpee then back in position.  Pass your rock to the left and repeat until all PAX have called out ?number or reps.  Repeat with tricep extensions.
  • Partner up for a modified Dora.  Round 1:  1st PAX Alternates betrween 10  4ct flutter kicks and 10 4ct American Hammers while partner runs to top of the steps, performs 10 CDD then run back, then switch.  Round 2:  alternate 10 4ct box cutters and 10 4 ct American Hammers.  Round 3:  Alternate 10 4ct Edward scissor legs and 10 4ct American Hammers.
  • Mosey back to AO, lunges over the bridges.

THE SCENE:   37 degrees, clear.

  • Aiken Legs:  20 squats, 20 box jumps, 20 lunges (10 each leg).  20 split jacks (10 each leg).
  • Mosey to Big Ball and pick up your fishing equipment.  Pole (10 pull-ups), tackle box (15 hand release merkins), boat (boat/canoes)
  • Mosey towards convention center parking lot along Third Creek.  Catch me if you can.  Partner up.   Fist Pax Bernie Sanders across the lot while second Pax does 3 burpees then sprints to catch Pax 1.  Then switch.  Rinse and repeat.
  • Mosey to Volunteer Landing to catch some “BASS”.  B: 50 body builders,  A: 100 4ct American Hammers.  S: 100 sit-ups.  S:  100 squats.  One Pax runs performing 10 merkins at end point before returning while partner performs exercise.  Repetitions are cumulative.
  • Mosey back to AO.  Any time you encounter water, Pax yell Go Fish and its time to catch more “BASS”. 5 body builders, 5 4 ct American Hammers, 5 Sit-ups,  5 squats.  We ended up doing 4 rounds.

“On one occasion, while the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, and he saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people from the boat. And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.” And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking. They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.   • Mosey to Emerald Youth Soccer Complex
  • 4 Corners:  4 laps around the field with exercises at the corners (Lap 1: Merkins x 15, Lap 2: BBS x 15, Lap 3: CDD’s x 15, Lap 4: Heels to heaven x 15).  Once finished alternate 15 (4ct) flutter kicks and mosey sideline until 6 arrives.
  • Bearmuda Triangle:  3 cones ~30 yards apart.  1 burpee then bear crawl to 2nd cone, 2 burpees then bear crawl to third cone, 3 burpees then bear crawl to start.
  • Burpee Dan:  sideline to sideline.  1:4 Burpee/lunge across.
  • Mosey back to AO

What is your identity?  We are all going through life trying to make a name for ourselves.  We all want to be good at something.  He’s a good attorney, runner, smart, funny, etc.  We frequently feel to be successful we must take something or earn it.  Although many of these things are noble pursuits, when we chase them for our own glory or make them the cornerstones of our lives we find it exhausting, chasing after the wind.  Our frequent failures lead to guilt or depression.  Even when we succeed it is fleeting or not enough.

The truth is God has given us a name and established our identity in Him.   Even more, it is a gift, something we did not earn.

When we find our identity in Christ it frees us to pursue our passions for His glory.

Thanks to Jenner for sharing and giving an update on his pursuit of medical school.  Praise for doors opening in the application process and prayers for his continued journey to becoming a doctor
