Do a mini version without the incline and distance or reps of all the 18 different exercise and transition stations just to go over any weird or new exercises people might not know.

Core Mountain:

Starting at the base of Juco-manjaro, do 20 reps of an exercise and then go to the next station. The road to the top is 1800 feet divided by 18 stations that’s 100 foot transitions.  The exercises and transitions are

MARY:

Mary, we don’t need no stinkin Mary, we’re too busy climbin a hill.

Did the COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM: on the walk back down the hill. Encouragement to live and know and use as a resource, the infinite God we know and love to get out of any pit or “stuckness” we feel we might be in. He designed all the stars and galaxies as well as the dna for every living thing and every element and atom — He surely can see a way through or out of our problems.

Burpee Baseball – JUCO July 23, 2018

THE SCENE: Juco parking lot,  Wanted to do on actual baseball diamond on campus but torrential rains yesterday made it a swamp.  So cement baseball here we come!  75 degrees – very humid – slight fog

F3 WELCOME & DISCLAIMER
WARM-O-RAMA:

Did two burpees of each of the 20 different made up burpees that are written on the old softballs with sharpies.  Basically it combines the exercises we know and love with a Burpee.  What’s written on the ball is just the name of the exercise to combine with a burpee.  Here are the types:

  1. Iron Mike
  2. Frog   (out and back with legs while in plank)
  3. Big Boy
  4. Squat Jump
  5. Release Merkin
  6. Side Straddle Hop
  7. Double Merkin
  8. Lunge
  9. Imperial Walker
  10. Cross Mountain Climber

THA-THANG:

  • Teams: Split group into two teams (doesn’t matter how many players each hopefully will be even number of players)
  • Equipment: 22 Balls with burpee type written on it (one or two words).  5 hard balls, 17 softballs.
  • Game Play: All players remain in their teams dug-out while two players come up to the field for a “Play at bat”. One player from the “At bat” team comes up to race against one player from the “outfield” team.  The at bat player throws the ball as hard as he can and tries to get around the bases back to home before the “outfield” player can retrieve the ball and bring it back to home plate.   The player to make it back to home first gets the thrown ball for his team (and thus the points).
  • Object of the game:  The team with the most points wins.  Two points for softballs and five points for hardballs.
  • Burpees: When a player at bat picks a ball he announces it to everyone what type of burpee is written on the ball.  When that player rounds a base he has to do two burpees of that type.   When the outfield player reaches the ball he has to do five burpees of that type before he starts running for home.  While the two players are running and retrieving the ball, their respective teams have to do the same burpees as their player who is running the play.  So the outfield team does five when their player does five and the at bat team does two burpees in sync with their player as he rounds the base.
  • Infield / Outfield Switch:  The at bat team has three throws before switching to being an outfield team.
  • Hardballs:  If the at bat player picks a hardball – then all the reps are doubled.  Therefore, four burpees per base and ten burpees for retrieving (the teams in the dugouts also have to do the rep increase).
  • Game End / Lightning Round: If all 22 balls are thrown before 30 minutes is up, then the lightning round commences.  The balls are totaled (2 points per softball and 5 points per hardball). The team with the most points wins. All balls are put back in the pot. The lightning round is the same as before except the burpee repetitions is one per base and zero for the retriever.

Gorbechev, tear down that wall

THE SCENE: Georgeous breezy 78  5:30 degrees.
F3 WELCOME & DISCLAIMER

No new FNGs (Welcome Bueler)
WARM-O-RAMA:

5 reps of Side straddle hops, merkins, burpies, side-to-side, forward lunges.

Mosey to Wall while warming up.  During mosey 10 baby arm circles, 10 merkins, 10 burpies, 10 side-straddle hops, 10 forward lunges.

Gorbechev, TEAR DOWN THAT WALL!:

Summary: Loop around the big wall (with hill), building 4 small walls of cmus along the way with exercises to move the cmus.   Each HIM starts with 7 cmus – stack them into a wall at starting gate.  (We had 9 HIMS so 63 cmus)

For each wall move there is a digger and stacker to help feed the brick moving chain gang – so they can stay in position.  The digger feeds the train/conveyor exercise belt with bricks.  The stacker takes the bricks that come out the other side and stacks them at the next exercise starting point 40 feet away.

First Exercise to move the cmus 40 feet by doing the Plank Shuffle lined up in a train (side by side).

Second Exercise: Big Boy Chain gang (pull over block, sit-up, drop block at your feet for next guy).

Third Exercise: Lunge the blocks to the end of the big wall – No digger or stacker.  Can take more than one cmu with you.

Fourth Exercise: Bernie walk ALL the cmus up to the top of the hill.

Five Exercise: 2 block burpies at top of hill.

Sixth Exercise: Carry blocks forward walk back to original location.

Seventh Exercise: Speed dis-assemble wall back to it’s original spot.

Mosey back to beginning with 5 intermittent 50 yard sprints and merkins, and burpies.

Galations 6 Message:  1-3 Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.

THA-THANG:  Interlaken
Using a FIFO Sprint Train,  inter link (connect) the three lakes on campus.

While one person sprints to the next exercise station, the rest of the group does the current exercise in place.  When one person finishes the sprint he calls out “Go” to the next in line person, who then stops doing the exercise and sprints to the next station.  Upon reaching the next exercise station, begin doing the next exercise until the whole group has reached the current station.  It works best if we all stay in the same order.   Sprints are designed to be mostly on the straight aways and about 100 yards.  Exercises are:

  1. Plank hold.
  2. Leg lift hold.
  3. Squat Hold.
  4. Side Plank Star Hold.
  5. Elbows to Plank.
  6. In place Lunges
