Proverbs 16:24

Remember that God has a plan for us.  We can’t do it on our own.  Give things to him and watch our tongue and how we handle what life throws at us.

Bumps and blocks

THE SCENE: Clear skies, 37 degrees, perfect for a beat down
F3 WELCOME & DISCLAIMER :

WARM-O-RAMA:
SSH, high knees and butt kickers.  Did some plank poses, downward dog and 10 tempo Merkins.  Then did some Tie Fighters and was ready to roll out of the AO, but then the originator of the Tie Fighter lived up to his name and exited the scene for a few minutes.  Out of deference to Code Brown, we hung around awhile and did some Rocky Balboas, Super Marios and bear crawl 360 at the AO. Then we headed out.
THA-THANG:

  • Bump your partner – Partner up with one CMU.  Make your way up the tail of the dragon to the Coliseum.  One partner goes ahead with the block and the other does 5 burpees or 10 merkins then runs to catch partner, take the CMU and go ahead while the other partner does 5 burpees or 10 merkins and so on until you both reach the Coliseum.
  • One partner does AMRAP CMU exercises while the other partner completes a lap around the oval in front of the Admin building. Thrusters, Wood Choppers, Block Swings, Up and Over Merkins, Lying Lat Raise, Alternating Lunges, Curl/Press.  There were others planned but we ran out of time.

Jesus didn’t wait for us to do this or do that before he sacrificed himself for us.  Let’s not wait for others to do this or do that before we reach out to them, forgive, help out, serve. Take the initiative.  While we were yet sinners, He died for us.
MOLESKIN:
That was a pretty exhausting workout.  Shoutout to @Woodshack for teaching me the cmu bump a few years ago.  A great way to move a cmu!

There will be times in your life that you may question God and His plans for you. These times are usually when you struggle, lose someone, or uncertainties in life. But, I tell you this – God’s plan is perfect. He’s timing is always right. It may not seem like it but have faith that God is working His ways for the better of you.
MOLESKIN:
My brothers, as I host my last Q (at least for this year) I am truly grateful and honored to be part of such an amazing brotherhood that we have here in F3. I was supposed to stay for only 6 weeks here in the US and that 6 weeks turned into a year. And you guys made it truly memorable for me and my family. You have made a huge impact on my life and my family’s. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you and until next time! I love you, brothers!

Puddles Galore

THE SCENE: Raining, temp in 60s
F3 WELCOME & DISCLAIMER
WARM-O-RAMA:

Mosey to Pavilion because it is raining by golly.  20 Side-Straddle-Hops, 15 Plank Jacks, 10 Cherry Pickers, 10 Rockettes, 10 Little Baby Arm Circles Forward and 10 Backward.

Next, do 20 Picnic Table Pullups and then run around around the Pavilion.  Next do 20 Bench Dips and then run around the Pavilion.  Rinse and Repeat.

Why heck, it’s still raining, let’s get wet.  Mosey down ball field sidewalk to Caribbean parking lot and to the southwestern side of the parking lot.  We will run in a candy cane motion stopping at each island to do the listed exercise.  Those getting to the end of the candy cane sweep all men back to the start.  Then do the same with the next exercise.  These are the exercises:

  • 10 Merkins
  • 10 Big Boy Sit-ups
  • 20 Little Baby Crunches

Next, we mosey on park roadway to the old southern ball field parking lot.  We will start on the southern curb and do suicide, returning back to curb from each parking lot light and northern curb.  The run to the first curb is always a Bernie Sanders while all the other running is a sprint.

Next we mosey to the park perimeter trail just off the pavilion by the old south ball fields.  We will do nickel dime quarter doing the following exercises:

  • Dive Bomber
  • Squat Jump

Next we do double quarters (run 5 lights then do 25 of exercise, then rinse and repeat) with the following exercises:

  • Toe touches
  • Bobby Hurleys

We stop where perimeter trail meets serpentine sidewalk.  We next run on serpentine sidewalk for four lights and lunge for one light until we reach the Caribean Parking Lot.  From there, mosey to Pavilion by northern ball fields.  From there, sprint to the AO Flag with winner (who happened to be Lulu) getting a free breakfast from your Q.

COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA
Ten men, no FNGs.
CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
William Shatner, the actor who played good ol Captain Kirk, flew into space this past week.  At age 90 he is the oldest person to ever travel in space.  He was overcome with emotion when he returned.  He talked about the beautiful blue skies of earth and how, once the space vessel passed through the Earth’s atmosphere, the beautiful blue of earth went suddenly black in space.  It made him think of the preciousness and fragility of Earth, how it can vanish into nothing, and about the fragility of our own lives, about how our bodies will one day just die.  Thankfully, our lives are more than what is spent on Earth.  There is the infinity of God, the Alpha and Omega, who created everything, and the opportunity to live with HIM, forever.
MOLESKIN:
We live on a beautiful planet.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Christmas party at Judge Judy’s home on December 11.  Wives or partners are invited.
