THA THANG:
Separate into two teams. Each team has half the parking lot and cones grouped into one group of 2, one group of 3, one group of 4, and one group of 5. At “go” PAX grab a tennis ball, run to touch the far curb, then run to one of seven battle stations. Perform the exercise at that station, then throw the ball at the enemy’s ships. Work at each battle station before you repeat one. Continue until one team’s ships are sunk.
Exercises were;
- 25 Merkins
- Lunges 10 each leg
- 20 star jacks
- 25 Mountain Climbers
- 25 hello dolly
- 20 flutter kicks
- 15 carolina dry docks
Team 2 won the battle!
Rehabilitate your fleet (set the cones back up – this time a little further away). Play another round. Flip the cards over for new exercises – these were;
- 20 diamond merkins
- 15 Bobby Hurleys
- 20 shoulder taps
- 15 smurf jacks
- 25 plank jacks
- 15 BBS
- 10 box cutters
Team 1 won this time!
Line up at one end of the parking lot. 10 parking lot lines. Bear crawl 1 line, do 10 merkins mosey back. Bear crawl 2 lines, 9 merkins, mosey back. Repeat until 10 lines, 1 merkin.
PAX huddle for exercises led by YHC. 2 men at a time take turns hurling the 60# sandbag toward the shovelflag. After 10 throws each, PAX rally on the bag and start again with a different 2 men throwing the bag. Repeat until we reach the shovelflag.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
On Monday, Anchorman talked about a line from the Lord’s Prayer that jumped out at him, “Your kingdom come…”. I followed his lead and also talked about a line from the Lord’s Prayer.
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, a but deliver us from the evil one.”
After He finishes teaching this prayer, the very next thing that Jesus says to his disciples – as if this is the point that He needs to hammer home – “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
Our forgiveness for the people who have done us wrong is critical to our relationship to the Heavenly Father and a prerequisite to our forgiveness. What’s more…if you harbor unforgiveness for a wrong done to you long ago – or a perceived wrong – who do you hurt most? You are harming yourself. Unforgiveness is poison in your heart.
In the original Greek, the word rendered “forgive” in this text is aphiemi. It does not mean to sweep it under the rug or pretend like you were not hurt. In the Greek, aphiemi can literally mean, “to hurl”. Like we did to the sandbag this morning. Hurl away the offense, and in doing so heave that poisonous resentment as far from your heart as you can. Aphiemi – hurl it! That is how our Father forgives our trespasses – and it’s how we are to forgive those who trespass against us.
Here’s the hardest thing you’ll do yet today. Search your heart for forgiveness that you’ve been withholding and that resentment is staining your soul. Now…HURL IT AWAY!

20 SSH, 30 sec of Iron Mike’s, 23 Bobby Hurley’s, & 15 4-count mtn. climbers w/ merkin & plank position hold after every 5 reps.
THA-THANG:
- Mosey up to stadium turf
- Line up across West goal line
- Pyramid style Q (5,10,15, 20…etc.)
- Red vs Blue …1v1 w/ each Pax calling out an exercise (get creative) before the roll off, high roll wins (red wins tie 🎲🎲), cumulative sum of 4 die determines reps to perform at goal line…23 burpees was not an ideal Craps roll today 😩
- After Pax winners choice of exercise, lunge to 5 yd line, perform 2 burpees, mosey back to goal line
- Make it, Take it (winner keeps red die and invites next challenger)
- Repeat this cycle with incremental increase in lunge distance by 5 yds (10, 15, 20 etc…ending at the 50)
- For the 2nd half (50, 45, 40 etc.), Butt kicks up, 3 burpees, mosey back to goal line
- We called time half way through the 2nd half, Mercy rule enacted

How often do we shoulder the weight of the world and selfishly take on life in solitary confinement? Satan is crafty at alienating us in this thinking (man up, bear it ourselves). Yet worldly strength will always fail us at some point. Obtain our strength from above! No matter what comes…physical ailments, relationship struggles, financial burdens. He’s with us and has given us the ultimate victory through His Son. Trust the strongest entity in the universe. He’s an amazing God and is ALWAYS there to assist. Don’t resist!

This was a brief warmup, only a couple of minutes and we got moving to avoid the cold/wind.
THA-THANG:
The entire workout was performed under the cover near the school entrance close to the baseball field.
We used workout dice, two with exercises and one with reps or time limits.
WE would roll all three, and do the two exercises by the number of reps or time rolled. At one point we rolled 90 second intervals 4 times in a row, and the workout was way more challenging than anticipated

What are we gambling with in our lives? The entire workout was left to chance with the dice. We are taking some of those same chances with health, jobs, relationships, etc. Don’t be passive, take ownership of these, and make it happen, don’t wait.

Grab the two new blocks that are … heavy
Return of the flight of the blue falcon
Two Pax have large blocks, call an exercise and start counting to 10 while the remaining Pax run. At 10 they yell halt, and the running pax perform the called exercise until the pax carrying blocks arrive. The blocks are passed to different pax, and this process is rinsed and repeated for the duration of the workout. One of these blocks is near 50 lbs, and one is greater than 50lbs

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
I recently cleaned out my closets and donated many items. It was the inspiration to wear some of the “GEMS” I rediscovered when I was cleaning to the workout this morning. We talked about the importance of donating some of the things that we are not using to others who could put them to use. In addition, I asked that we consider to be vulnerable and share our struggles as well as our experiences. Others in the group may find value in the struggles and experiences we share. We build a community and bonds when we share these experiences, and as men we sometimes hoard our feelings and emotions, and this is a safe space to share them.
