https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuJTqmpBnI0 (Beauty and the Beast- Gaston “the Man”- The world tells us that to be a man we have to be like Gaston. Strong, good looking, skilled, have girls falling at our feet etc. Even the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast portray a manly man in this manner. Larry Crab, famous author, says, “The only way to be manly is to be Godly,” and being Godly looks extremely different than how most men act today. To be Godly is to live a life modeled after Jesus, who freely gave to all of us by sacrificially coming to earth to give himself away, so that through him we may have life. Now, that is MANLY! Giving our life away to others, instead of taking, and trying to live out the life of a “man” that this world portrays.

“There is a way that seems right to man, but in the end it leads to death”- Proverbs 14:12

MOLESKIN
The pack was ready to get going this AM with several new FNGs in the house to take on their first F3 workout. The PAX hung tough on the LAX field, even in some dark and gloomy conditions and chased after the stars to complete a great DORA workout. Cardiac Hill never disappoints, but only doing it once this morning was a slight tease, more to come later at the next Bandwagon Beatdown!

John 11:25-26 – With Easter this coming weekend, it is important for us to live in the reality of the Easter message, the greatest event to ever happen in history. No matter what you believe or where you live on this earth, we all struggle with the reality of death. We see it and experience it, and it is hard to grapple with. The only thing that gives us hope is that Jesus Christ came to die and defeat death. Through his Resurrection, we are able to experience life in Him for ever and ever. We don’t have to experience eternal death because of what Christ did for us. Let us celebrate that forever and seek to live out of that each day.

After many PAX had just come back from travels on Spring Break, it was fitting to send them right back out on a Route 66 work out. The PAX crushed it even through a relapse into some gloomy winter weather and started the week off strong.

Ephesians 6:13-17 Talks about putting the full armor of God under to protect against the evil one. The Sword of the Spirit, Breastplate of Righteousness, Helmet of Salvation, Shield of Faith, Belt of Truth, and the Sandals of the Gospel of Peace. As we each put on this armor and fight evil as HIMs. We are apart of a special community that allows us to do that and to look after each other and fight for one another as well!

MOLESKIN
The PAX was eager for a unique Bandwagon Beatdown as we went through the Ring of Fire today. The PAX was forgiving as the original plan for the Ring of Fire was altered because of the weather. Wind and Rain made it hard for the exercise cards to stay in their correct places. Therefore, the PAX completed each exercise of the Ring of Fire together! Spirits were high and the PAX always leaves everyone feeling encouraged.

Matthew 16:24-26 – Christ made the ultimate sacrifice in leaving his Heavenly throne and coming down to die on a cross to save us and give us true life in him. In response through our loving relationship with him, we are called to sacrifice ourselves and live for him above all. Everything else in this world will never be enough no matter much it tells us it will be. It will never satisfy or fulfill us. Christ is the only thing that can. By sacrificing ourselves to live in Christ in our new selves, we are given the ability through Christ to sacrifice ourselves in relationship with our families, friends, classmates, co-workers, and to share Christ by doing so. So let us not choose our on way or ourselves but choose the way of Christ. This is part of the core of being HIM (High Impact Man)!

The PAX took Monday morning by storm. They worked their tails off and never stopped moving. The encouragement from the PAX this morning was phenomenal, pushing each other and affirming the Q’s by their words and efforts. Running Cardiac Hill together is always great times with the PAX, conquering the feat together and encouraging one another at the top. Great effort to start the week!

Sometimes after finishing an exercise it can be more encouraging to our fellow PAX if we just simply stand, yell, and encourage them to finish strong. Many PAX members today took it to an extra gear along the last stretch of Cardiac Hill when they heard the PAX screaming and cheering them on. It takes selflessness to stop what you are doing and shift the focus away from yourself and put it on another person. Sometimes encouragement can be uncomfortable, but its impact is limitless. As a basketball coach, it is important to create good culture, and we are constantly trying to create an encouraging culture. In life, some people are energy givers, while others are energy takers. Energy givers are selfless, encouraging, enjoyable, and create positive culture. Energy takers are selfish, deceiving, joy-kills, and destroy positive culture. Hopefully as F3 Knoxville continues to grow the culture is one of encouragement to your fellow PAX, but even more important is to take that encouragement to your home, with your wife and kids. Or to your workplace with co-workers and help push people around you to achieve. Encouragement is a powerful tool, and this PAX encourages me every morning! Go be an energy giver this week!

The PAX was eager to get back to work this morning at The Asylum after missing Monday due to the ice storm. The PAX was constant this morning, never stopping, moving from thing to the next quickly. The PAX pushed each other through by encouraging each other over the top of Cardiac Hill twice, and survived a Bandwagon Beatdown!
