Count-Off and Name-O-Rama:

P-nut related how our run down Route 66 was an analogy to traveling life’s path. We have distractions along the way, but we need to remember the words of Jesus in Luke 9…and how we must be willing to sacrifice everything in order to truly follow Him.

P-nut then prayed us out- including a prayer request for Pfieffer’s grandfather and relief from holiday stress…especially that stress placed on our wives.

A group of brave souls with questionable judgment participated in a RUCK/run prior to the beat-down. All PAX were treated to 3 miles and a buffet of burpees, squats and merkins. Spirits were high and the mumblechatter was strong. Great morning at the Pound.

Respectfully submitted,

P-nut announced that the workout would be determined by use of a deck of cards.  Hearts = burpees; Diamonds= merkins; Clubs= 4 count flutter kicks; Spades= squats.  Reps would be determined by the number on the card.

The PAX moseyed to 5 spots around the Asylum, stopping to do a series of 4 exercises at each station.  Merkins, burpees, squats and flutter kicks.

The PAX stopped at the soccer field to do one round of DORA, with one battle buddy sprinting the field while the other started squats (to 250).  Plank until all were done.

Mosey to the lower baseball field parking lot.  One more round of cards, followed by a 50 yard lunge and a 50 yard bearcrawl.

Mosey back to the AO through the construction zone.  The PAX climbed fences, ran over dirt piles and dodged pot-holes en route back to the AO.

P-nut discussed how the cards were an analogy for life.  We are often dealt circumstances and situations that are out of our control, but that we have a constant source of support in Jesus.  Quoted Psalm 119:105 and encouraged the PAX to get into God’s word and let that guide our lives.

P-nut then prayed us out- including a prayer request for Simone, who will be leaving on Tuesday for military service.  The PAX laid hands on Simone and prayed for his safety and bravery.

2.1 miles, approximately 200 merkins, a multitude of squats and a TON of spirited mumblechatter (thanks Cap’n, Bandwagon, Crawdad).  Great start to the work week!

P-nut talked about anxiety and stress.  Reflected on the need to give your cares over to God and be thankful for your life, gifts and blessings.  Philippians 4:6

P-nut then prayed us out- including a prayer request from Tank.

Lots of mumblechatter from the PAX.  Woodshack started us off with lots of wet gaseous noises during warm-ups, followed by his discovery of dog poop in the parking lot.  Junk had the line of the day when he described Peyton as a “small package.”  It went steadily downhill from there…  Great morning with the PAX!

Great effort by all the PAX on a chilly Friday morning.

P-nut referenced 2 Corinthians 1:1-11.  Paul wrote about how suffering brings about a closer walk with Jesus, and through adversity we endure and can be an example to others.  Remember to celebrate through your suffering and to we aware when your brothers are struggling.  Pick them up.  Let’s get better- together.

P-nut prayed us out.  Special mention of Bandwagon’s back pain and Cap’n Crunch and his all-nite RUCK run.

2.94 total miles and a multitude of squats, merkins and burpees.  Crawdad brought his usual “A” game with the mumblechatter and kept the PAX entertained.  T-claps to Proton for noticing that an FNG had Velcro on their shoes (hence the new name “Velcro”).  Nice to have a total of 4 FNG’s this Saturday.

God bless.
