CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:

  1. When life seems so tough, go on. When things go wrong, move on. Bear in mind that God gives you strength to persevere, not to surrender. Take care!
  2. Wake up! Exercise your faith. Do sit-up with prayer. Do push-up to release stress. Go! Jog to the Lord and send the good news! Good morning!
  3. Don’t think too much of the problems in life, they are just test papers given by God to see how much we are learning in His subject called “Life”. If you think you failed, don’t worry because He is always ready to give remedial classes. So, review through prayers and have the perfect score of “Happiness”.
  4. Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you, not because they are not nice, but because you are nice.
  5. Before you sleep, just gently lay every troubled thought away. Drop your burden and your care in the quiet arms of prayer because God never sleeps. Good night! Sweet dreams.
  6. We are like pencils, the best part in us is inside, we make marks as we touch other’s lives. When we make mistakes, we can erase and we become better as we are sharpened.
  7. Stay humble, be faithful, offer hope, work diligently, fight fairly, live simply, love deeply, and give generously.
  8. Prayer is a perfume to our soul and a fragrance that pleases God. Wear your prayer everyday and let it freshen you anytime, anywhere you go. Have a blessed and sweet-scented day!
  9. The more silently love is expressed, the more it is deeply bound to impress. No wonder God loves us in silence and gives us the miracles of having friends.
  10. Life is a continuous challenge, a constant struggle from womb to tomb. We are not made rich by what is in our pockets, but by what is in our hearts.
  11. The person meant for you is the person who will love you even when there’s no more reason to love you. For in your nothingness, the one meant for you will find what’s lovable in you.
  12. Forget the things that made you sad and remember those that made you glad. Forget the troubles that passed away and remember the blessings that come each day. Good morning!
  13. Have you ever experienced a time in your life when you felt so empty for no reason? Have you ever felt so down but you just can’t tell why? Have you ever felt like the world suddenly spins around you, and you are caught in the middle going nowhere? Weird, isn’t it? But that’s the beauty of being human… it is knowing that there is a purpose for each existence, and whatever that may be, it is also the reason why we still wake up breathing each morning, to discover that missing piece of puzzle that would make our lives complete. Have a nice sleep!
  14. Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it or work around it. Good morning!
  15. Some won’t appreciate what you say or do, but as long as you speak honestly from the heart, you’ll be fine. This is not a perfect world. This is not a perfect life. But life loves the person who dares to live it by being real. Bon Jour!
  16. 18. Sometimes in life, we tend to run so fast that we don’t notice God running with us. We only notice Him when we fall, yet He stops, carries us and says, “Finish the race my child.” Good day!

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
I recently heard something on the radio that absolutely pierced my heart.  The speaker asked the following question:  If God answered every one of the prayers you’ve prayed over the past few months and gave you everything you’ve asked for, who’s life would be changed other than your own?  That hit me hard because I can be extremely selfish in my prayer life and focus on only myself and my problems.  As a Christian man I need to be more intentional about praying for Gods will in other people’s lives.  Who are you praying for intentionally?  Your wife?  Your kids?  Your boss?  Co-workers?  Missionaries?  When you pray is there a selfish motive behind what you’re asking for?  Christ tells us to pray for His will to be done.  My goal is to remember that when I come before the Lord in prayer.  Also to remember who I’m talking to and that there is a much bigger world out there that needs a loving savior the same as I do.

MOLESKIN:
Paula Abdul may have become the most hated woman on the planet this morning.   She really brought out the mumblechatter!

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
On December 7, 1941 American’s on the east coast woke up to learn that the Japanese had lead an unprovoked attack on our country.  It was later learned that in the attack 2403 Americans were killed.  And our country went to war.

The attack caused thousands upon thousands of men to volunteer to go out and defend their country, states, cities, families and ways of life.  Gallantry was seen when these men laid down their lives to save each other during WWII.

In our society we lose sight of that, we live for ourselves, or maybe a few close to us like wives and kids.  We live to make money, buy a house, drive a fast car, or sometimes old car…  But rarely do we live for each other and even more rarely does someone make the sacrifice for another.

The men of WWII laid down their lives for their friends.  Time after time these men jumped on grenades, charged enemy entrenchments, and gave their lives so others could live.  They died for their friends.

That makes me think of F3 and the friends I have made here, but also of John 15:13 where Jesus says:

“Greater love has no on than this; to lay down one’s life for his friends”

Jesus died on the cross for His friends, which means because He died for our sins He knows all of us intimately.  Which means we are all His friends.

MOLESKIN:
If you didn’t get your reps in do them.  Not for me but for the 2403.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
As you can tell I turn 40 today which means I have had many years to do the things I wanted to do.  I haven’t got them all done, but I have been fortunate to do quite a few.  In the same sense my 90 year old grandmother is currently lying in a hospital and most likely going to hospice.  I do not think she got to do all the things she wanted to do.  I think she has led a good and happy life, but I think there was other things, other adventures, or other experiences that she wanted to do.  Let this be a reminder to all of you do not put off the things you want to do until later.  We are not guaranteed any definite time on this earth, so make the most of it.  Hug your wives and kids, but also get out there and live your life.

Also welcome Abscess Jr…. aka Sleepwalker.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:

The following was paraphrased from this article:

Unlike most national holidays, Thanksgiving must be proclaimed each year by the President. George Washington made the first proclamation in 1789. He asked that Americans unite in thanks for “the peaceful and rational manner in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government”.  Lincoln revived the tradition during the civil war when he asked Americans to give thanks “with one heart and one voice”.

President JFK wrote Proclamation 3560 which begins “Over three centuries ago, our forefathers in Virginia and Massachusetts, far from home in a lonely wilderness, set aside a time of thanksgiving”. He continues to indicate that they gave thanks for their safety, their fields, their children and “the love which bound them together”.

It is important to note that JFK wrote this to a divided nation. This was after the Bay of Pigs invasion, the first “military advisers” arriving in Vietnam, and only two months after the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, AL where the KKK murdered several African-American girls.

These transgressions largely parallel the atrocities that we see in the news today. Let’s try our best to step back from the trees and take a look around the forest. We have a democratic government that, despite its faults, ensures us incredible freedoms. We have running, potable water. A reliable power grid. Food to eat. A place to lay our head at nights that is warm and dry. There’s a lot to be thankful for, and we tend to overlook the most important ones.

It also worth nothing that Proclamation 3561 was written 19 days after JFK’s Thanksgiving proclamation. It was written by LBJ, denoting a day of mourning for JFK’s assassination. Take a break from your divisions today and be a strong leader, a good friend, and a warm light in a world that can often be dark and cold.
