We ran out of time with most pax members completing the 33 lunges of their 3rd lap (CMU/Sand Bag Overhead Press)

Three words that motivate and give reason to me.

Strength: I see this as the physical side of things. The strength to accomplish something you have always wanted to do or the ability to help someone in need. Used an example of a burning building and having the strength to help pull someone out or carry them from danger. or the physical strength to hike the Grand Canyon. Whatever the situation or surrounding you find yourself in, will you be ready for it physically?

Courage: Will you have to courage to do such things? It will take courage to help someone else in a fire if your in the same danger. It takes courage to sign up for and event like goruck or the barkley marathons, or whatever that great event or place might be for you.

Wisdom: None of the prior will matter if you do not have the wisdom needed to know and understand the situation your in. Being intelligent about your surroundings, like the burning building, or the weather conditions when hiking the grand canyon. We must be smart and seek the intelligence / wisdom to educate ourselves to make the right decisions.

I don’t need to ask God that question because I know the answer.  He created me, pursued me in my sinful nature, and loved me enough to send His Son to live among us.  His Son loved me enough to bear the burden of my sin, to face rejection by the Father, and to die for me.  His Spirit is willing to live within me in spite of my sinfulness and filthy rags and loves me enough to lead me in my ongoing road to sanctification.  All Christians have that same love and assurance.  Just like we try to headlock other men and get them to join F3, we ought to headlock everyone with the good news of the Gospel

  • 20 Decline Mt Climber 2 count
  • 20 Step ups each leg
  • 20 Derkins – Feet on top of table
  • 20 Close-grip Under table pulls
  • 20 Release Squat with Coupon

Do 1 round through, then suicide out for increasing burpees at the other end. Mosey back, dropping rep each round. Repeat until no reps left.

THA-THANG:
Mosey down the road to the Elementary School/Little League park (wagon wheel and a stop for 30x BBS OYO halfway)
Pax split into 2 teams, each team with an Easter basket (5 gallon bucket w/25lb sand).
Easter eggs are hidden on the playground.
One PAX from each team carries the basket down the hill and collects one egg. Then bunny-hop back up the hill and hand off to next man.
Remaining PAX alternate between plank and Al Gore with each trip.

Once everyone has run twice, gather in the middle of the basketball court.
Exercises were going to be color-coded to egg color, but looks like we’re short on time.
Just make one run through the list.
PAX pair up for:
15x Low-5/High-10 Burpees
60yd partner carry
20x Leg Throws
20x Squirkins
Wheelbarrow around perimeter of the court
20x Reverse Rows/OH Leg Press

Rucking The Burbs

THE SCENE
58 and Clear, rain at the very end

 

THA-THANG
Ruck 1 mile down the Greenway to Gallaher View towards Middlebrook Pike.
Stop for 6 Rounds (with a ruck) of the following:

  • 6 Burpees
  • 6 Merkins6 Squats (ruck on back)
  • 6 Lunges (each leg)
  • 6 Thrusters
  • 6 Overhead Squats

 

Ruck another 1.5 miles (approx. 2.5 total) to Fellowship Church.
Stop in the parking lot for 4 Rounds (with a ruck) of the following:

  • 6 Ruck curls
  • 6 Ruck ground to overheas
  • 6 Overhead Tricep extension
  • 6 Overhead Ruck presses
  • 6 Ruck swings (Kettlebell swings)
  • 6 Ruck upright rows

Ruck another 2 miles back to SP (approx. 4.5 total) through the West Hills neighborhood (Indian Run style) back to West Hills Park.

Ruck one round of the parking lot, including Bernie up Lover’s Lane. (approx. 5 miles total).
