CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM: Today I talked about the importance of the second F. Fellowship. I went over a brief brief history of why F3 was created. The fellowship part of our group is very important. As we get older we lose friends that we grew up with and find ourselves more and more isolated. It’s very important to connect with other men moving in the same direction… Forward. Learn from each other, laugh with each other, and become better men with each other. I encouraged everyone to step outside of just the work out and connect with lunches, gatherings, other activities with F3 brothers. It’s through those that we really glue those are much needed relationships together.

MOLESKIN:
Tweet-E and I reminisced and shared with the packs are encounter with the motorcycle couple down at the Pavalon. I’ll leave it at that

    Where was God?

Millions of people asked this question on this day 20 years ago, and years later as well. God where were you when those towers fell and these innocent people died?

He was right there with them. He was at the Pentagon, He was in those two towers, He was on Flight 93, and He was right there with them. 20 years later, as we honor the men and women and children and heroes that were killed on this day, we remember that even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He is with us. We also remember that on that day and the days afterwards as well, something changed, even for a little bit –> faith, religion, politics, credence, country affiliation aside — we were reminded of our humanity. We were reminded that no matter what we call ourselves or how, we are all humans first and foremost.

So if you remember where you were that day, don’t forget your location – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. And if you don’t remember where you were that day, ask someone who does.

And yet the question remains 20 years later — “God, where are you? Do you not see what’s happening in our world and country? Where are you?” Each man must wrestle with this question, daily. We must choose to see God and seek Him out. At our coffee shops, in our conversations, in our workouts, in our places of work, in our families, in our wife and children, in our friendships and relationships — He is there. I have a hunch that if you make the ask of “God where are you,” He will reveal himself in ways that only He can.

THA-THANG:

Iron Pax Week 0 at the Equalizer! All HIMs decided to participate in the full workout. Q measured out 200 meters and 400 meters out on the “400 Meter” Equalizer Track. PAX was in charge of doing mental math while running to decide how they got their distance in (Spoiler Alert: 2 HIMs messed up. They MAY have several advanced degrees between them, but hey, math is hard).

  • 1,200 Meter run
  • 50 Merkins
  • 1,600 Meter run

  • 2,000 Meter run

MARY:

Picked up the 6 as Snitch finished his last run. It’s not that Snitch was the slowest, he just decided to show up at the normal start time. A man like him doesn’t need the extra time to bust out the Iron Pax Challenge!

COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA

6 HIMs completed the IPC Wk 0 workout. Snitch came in late and Mudpuppy left as soon as he finished.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:

You have to be humble. You have to acknowledge your faults and your failings. Stretch yourself as a man, husband, and father, but do not OVER-extend yourself. Know your limits. Push them, but if you go too far, you can burn out and fall.

The grass is not greener

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
The grass is not always greener on the other side. The phrase actually originated over 2000 years ago as a poetic proverb by Publius Ovidius Naso, better known as Ovid, regarding agriculture and the harvest always looking more fruitful in another man’s field. With social media today. It’s very easy to look into other lives and think they have everything together. That their lives are perfect and ours is crap. Nothing could be further from the truth. I talked about how I literally thought my neighbors grass was greener and prettier than my lawn. But it wasn’t until I walked over to talk to him that I could see all the imperfections and bare spots in his yard once standing in it. Looking back at my yard from his, I noticed mine didn’t look that bad from his angle. In fact it looks better than his yard. So, the point of all this is that we should not look at others and try and base our lives on them. But we should look to God for guidance and try to better ourselves every day.
MOLESKIN:
It was great being back at the equalizer today. I missed the crew there very much. Last night I had a pretty good wreck on my mountain bike and it was pretty tough for me to get going this morning. Once getting in the groove and seeing everyone working hard my injuries loosened up and didn’t bother me as bad.

2 Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive them their sin and will heal their land.
MOLESKIN:
In a society and an era that feels very far apart from God, he promises us that if HIS people will turn from THEIR wicked ways, he will heal the land.  As men and leaders it’s important that we look inwardly in these uncertain times.  God will use our humility and dedication to him to spread his kingdom here on earth.
