CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
How many times have we overlooked all this trash? *gestures to the 12 trash bags we used.* We don’t see it because we are busy with other stuff. Or we do see it and whatever we are doing prevents us from dealing with it. So it is in our lives. The little bits of trash pile up on us if we are not intentional about dealing with it. So let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
What does the worker gain from his efforts? I have seen the task God has given humanity to keep us occupied. He has made everything suited to its time; also, he has given human beings an awareness of eternity; but in such a way that they can’t fully comprehend, from beginning to end, the things God does. I know that there is nothing better for them to do than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live. Still, the fact that everyone can eat and drink and enjoy the good that results from all his work, is a gift of God.
Kohelet (Ecc) 3:9‭-‬13 CJB
https://bible.com/bible/1275/ecc.3.9-13.CJB

Thinking on that lately. Why have I been so up tight about things not getting done. There is always going to be more to do. Need to focus on my attitude and enjoy the gift of labor that God has given me. I think that can even go as far as finding joy in suffering. God works all things out for our good. So if we trust Him, we can have joy even in the midst of really hard stuff knowing that He is using it to produce good fruit in our lives.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Read this and wanted to share.

Found among his papers in Zimbabwe after he was martyred for his Christian faith. It is the moving testimony of a martyr.

I’m a part of the fellowship of the unashamed.
The die has been cast.
I have stepped over the line.
The decision has been made.
I’m a disciple of His and I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.

My past is redeemed.
My present makes sense.
My future is secure.

I’m done and finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity.
I don’t have to be right, or first, or tops, or recognized, or praised, or rewarded.
I live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by Holy Spirit power.

My face is set.
My gait is fast.
My goal is heaven.

My road may be narrow, my way rough, my companions few, but my guide is reliable and my mission is clear.

I will not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice or hesitate in the presence of the adversary.
I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won’t give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus.

I must give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes.

And when He does come for His own, He’ll have no problems recognizing me.

My color will be clear!

This vibrant declaration was contributed by Dr. Nina Gunter who got it from veteran missionary Louise Robinson Chapman (Africa: 1920-1940). One side note is that today this commitment statement circulates among Christians (and even web sites) with the byline “Author unknown.”  The story behind this statement makes it all the more potent!

Spoke on the diffence between reacting and responding to a situation. Reactions are gut reactions that often aren’t our best. A response allows us to separate ourselves from the stimulus and pause to consider how we want to respond. Respond, don’t react.
