CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
The warrior ethos (AKA Jedi Training) consist of 13 pillars: commitment, honor, respect, prepared, faithful, fighter, hungry, humble, lover, teachable, firestarter, truthful, and generous.
Each one is tied to a Bible verse.

Prepared: the 4th pillar
The verse for this pillar is 2nd Timothy 4:2

“Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.”
—2nd Timothy 4:2

Personally I love this pillar! Don’t get ready, STAY ready!!

Someone asks about your faith, be ready to confess the love of Jesus. Something happens and messes up your plans, pivot and keep going!! Someone doesn’t show up to their Q. Own it, and lead the workout!

“Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”
1 Peter 3:15

It goes on to say in verse 16, to do this in a gentle and respectful way… So let’s make sure we’re acting with Grace.

Thanksgiving is coming up and may of us are very blessed. Unfortunately the holidays aren’t happy for everyone. Remember to count your blessings, smile a lot: someone needs it, have patience, kindness, and grace: especially for those in the service indusrty. Be the light!

I have a lot of respect for you gentlemen. Being out here with you keeps me ready, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Thank you!

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:

I was poking through a back blast sitting in the airport and read something I wanted to pass on. Integrity shares a root with the word integrate. This struck me as profound. Integrity, at its root, is about being complete, whole, pulled together and bound. To have integrity means unity. Between words and actions. Between image and heart. A single man regardless of where I am or who I am talking to.

So let’s consider how integrated we are. Man, son, husband, father. At work or at home. Around friends or around family or around strangers. Face to face, or on the phone, or in a text. My physical person compared to my digital identity. What does it take to draw all these different faces of our lives together into one complete man?
MOLESKIN:
Glad to be back on TN soil and out in the gloom.

Me and 6 of the best men I know

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:

Repeated the Word from Shamrock on Wednesday….

The inspiration for the Word came from Caveman.  Last time I led at Shamrock, I talked in the BOM about legacy.  Living in such a way that we leave the legacy that we want to leave.  After the workout, he made the comment, “What we do with our ‘dash’ matters….”.  What was he talking about?  He meant, that one day your body will be ash and there will be a tombstone with your name on it.  It will have the day you were born and the day that you died – and in between, there will be a DASH.  That dash represents today, this week, this year.  You are living that DASH.  What we do with our ‘dash’ matters.

  • Are you doing your utmost to use your precious few years wisely?
  • Perhaps there is a hatchet that needs to be buried
  • Perhaps there is a neglected relationship that needs investment.
  • Perhaps there is a bad habit you need to put to death
  • Perhaps there is a good habit you need to build into your lifestyle
  • Are you using your precious few years wisely?

Psalm 39:4-5, “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.”

Psalm 90:12, “Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.”

MOLESKIN:

Loved being out there with you men!
